We always love being able to partner with client organizations, non-profits, and fundraisers that help generate awareness for a cause. We were recently contracted by Slay Events to create a range of print graphics for the 2022 WalkUnitedLA event.
WalkUnitedLA is a family-friendly walk and run hosted by United Way of Greater Los Angeles, as well as the Los Angeles Rams. The event takes place at SoFi Stadium and is geared towards raising money and awareness to help break the cycle of generational poverty.
This year's event was the second annual WalkUnitedLA, and included live entertainment, food trucks, volunteer opportunities, kids’ activities, and more.
United Way of Greater Los Angeles is dedicated to creating pathways out of poverty by helping individuals and families in the community access health care, education, and financial stability. They partner with local corporations, organizations, and philanthropists to create innovative solutions that will benefit those living in poverty.
The organization's WalkUnitedLA event, formerly known as HomeWalk, is the signature community event for the Los Angeles Rams. Since its founding in 2007, the organization's initiative has brought together more than 130,000 people from across LA County and raised over $10 million to end homelessness for over 20,000 individuals in the Southern California community.
In partnership with Slay Events, we produced dozens of custom print graphics to help prepare United Way for their event. The majority of the activation included mesh and vinyl banners, ranging in size and application. Additional gatorboard signs were also placed throughout the venue.
To start, we fabricated individual tent graphics including both sponsor and wayfinding locations, such as Media Check-In, First Aid, and VIP. Other key sponsor tents included UPS, FedEx, Wells Fargo, City of Inglewood, ABC7, and many others. In total, we produced over 40 custom tent signs. Each was UV-printed on 13oz vinyl and finished with grommets for easy installation.
We also printed and plotter-cut 20 outdoor floor decals made out of durable TexWalk. These were each cut to shape and measured 48" x 24". Designed to withstand high amounts of foot traffic, these decals were the perfect addition to the activation.
Other complementary graphics were placed throughout the venue, including bag check signage, beer garden menus, start and finish line banners, and race tower graphics.
Finally, we produced several custom mesh banner graphics to create the celebration stage. The main graphic spanned 360" wide and 192" tall, with the individual header 360" by 24". Additional side panels were also UV-printed on mesh fabric and secured with grommets.
