For decades, June has marked a meaningful celebration for millions of Americans. Now over 50 years since the first Pride in 1969, June is recognized as the official Pride Month for the LGBTQIA+ community.
Over the course of these 30 days, many cities and municipalities host parades and other celebrations in honor of Pride Month, with businesses and other organizations across the country pledging their support for the LGBTQIA+ community. With many celebrations put on hold last year due to the pandemic, the return of in-person Pride festivities and gatherings have swept across the country with great enthusiasm.
We are honored to share some of our favorite projects from this month that honor Pride and the message behind it. Take a closer look at some of our installations below.
CELEBRATING PRIDE MONTH ACROSS THE US
From the popular Atlanta Pride Run to Boston’s Pride Night at Fenway Park, cities all across the country have shared in the celebration for Pride 2021. From parades and marathons to concerts, rallies, and other in-person and virtual events, Pride Month aims to bring awareness and change across the LGBTQIA+ landscape.
And with growing policy and inclusivity initiatives sweeping across the United States, this year marks an important milestone for the LGBTQIA+ community. But there is still a long way to go.
With a growing number of brands and businesses taking a stand to support Pride Month in 2021, LGBTQIA+ rights are being brought to the forefront.
POLE BANNERS, FLAGS, BANNERS, BACKDROPS, AND MORE
We partnered with a number of companies this month to design, print, and install banners and other materials to celebrate Pride. From the San Francisco Giants to Hollywood’s Capitol Records, Florida Panthers, Austin Football Club, Wynwood Florida, and more, we were honored to support their inclusivity initiatives.
Depending on the property and installation location, we outfitted a number of pole banner campaigns, flags, banners, backdrops, and more that were each incorporated into Pride festivities. Like Capitol Records and many others, businesses will continue to fly the iconic LGBTQIA+ flag for the entirety of June.
DESIGNED AND BUILT TO LAST
Although these banners and print materials are often only in place for the 30 days of Pride, these durable outdoor graphics can be safely stored away and used for years to come. Especially for venue-specific banners like those produced for the San Francisco Giants, these materials are custom-manufactured for stadiums and venues across the country. Knowing that future dimensions may not change, these banners can be recycled and reused each year to minimize the environmental impact that would be associated with producing new graphics.
We’ve been fortunate enough to work with dozens of brands and businesses to print and produce celebratory Pride banners, many of which continue to showcase their support year after year.
