Hotel Activations for the National Football League Players Association (NFLPA)

January has proven to be a spectacular month for football, both at the collegiate and professional levels. Earlier this year, we decorated the host hotel in Downtown Los Angeles to celebrate and promote the National Football League Players Association (NFLPA)’s 2022 Collegiate Bowl. 

This comprehensive activation featured a wide range of materials and applications, including column wraps, window graphics, elevator decals, and more. The event welcomed guests, athletes, coaches, scouts, and other media to gather at the Intercontinental Hotel for the week-long program.

POST-SEASON SPORTS GRAPHICS FOR THE NFLPA COLLEGIATE BOWL

The NFLPA Collegiate Bowl is the ultimate post-season event for any draft-eligible college football player. Festivities span the entire week, providing athletes the opportunity to showcase their talent to NFL scouts and coaches. But it’s much more than just a football game.

The week’s events also consist of speakers and networking opportunities for players to learn from “the best in the business,” according to the organization’s website. “The NFLPA Collegiate Bowl not only prepares players for the speed and intensity of professional football, but also for the business and lifestyle changes that come with it.”

ACTIVATING DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES’S INTERCONTINENTAL HOTEL

Los Angeles’s Intercontinental Hotel served as the centralized hub for the duration of the event. Upon arrival, athletes, scouts, coaches, and other guests were welcomed with larger-than-life decal graphics on the hotel’s exterior as well as the main lobby entrance. Spanning over 40 feet long and 12 feet high, the primary welcome graphic was made using blockout material and featured players as well as the NFLPA logo.

Inside the venue, we installed three separate column wraps as well as four individual elevator door wraps. We also used durable, high-pigment blockout material to print eight additional glass door decals that showcased the organization’s black and red color scheme. 

A number of graphics were custom-fabricated to fit the venue, especially those designed to be masked to a specific section or pre-existing detail inside the hotel. Our team also produced a variety of wood panel decals and Gatorboard graphics that were installed throughout the premises. 

TEMPORARY INSTALLATIONS FOR CONFERENCES AND EVENTS

Naturally, hotels and other hospitality venues are a convenient solution for hosting multi-day conferences and events. Whether an activation lasts only a weekend or spans an entire week, it’s important that the property can be “reset” to its original state in a timely and efficient manner. Additionally, it is imperative that other guests and staff are not disturbed during the installation or removal process. 

We take great care to ensure that each temporary activation leaves a venue exactly as we found it. Our carefully trained installation teams guarantee each project is entirely damage-free while also working as efficiently as possible. Over the years, we have been fortunate enough to work with Downtown Los Angeles’s Intercontinental Hotel on multiple occasions and have a deep understanding of the venue. Within a few hours of NFLPA’s final events concluding, we were able to restore the hotel as if the activation never happened.
