What does an NFL season look like in the midst of a pandemic? Well, we’re about to find out.
The league is now requiring all teams to remain at their primary training facility for 2020 training activities. And lucky for the Los Angeles Rams, this means enjoying a freshly rebranded sports complex.
WHY THE LOS ANGELES RAMS REBRANDED IN 2020
The LA Rams’ renovations come at a time when the team is hyper-focused on attracting and supporting the team during their preseason practice. From the new coaching staff to a new stadium, the LA Rams are looking to the future. And with a better understanding of the impact that players’ physical environment has on athletic performance, there was no better time to kick off a new chapter for Rams football.
The Los Angeles-based team will also be featured in HBO’s Hard Knocks premiering August 11. The show is dedicated to chronicling the training activities of two Southern California teams: the Los Angeles Rams and the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Rams’ fresh new facility serves as the perfect team showcase for the highly-anticipated NFL series.
A TRAINING FACILITY DESIGNED FOR CHAMPIONS
From the locker rooms to the hallways, common areas, offices, and training gym, every inch of the Rams’ facility was refurbished and outfitted with a fresh new look—including a new LA Rams logo. Sticking with the team’s iconic royal blue and gold color palette, the complex now features dozens of decals with custom designs and bold LA Rams branding.
A3 VISUAL’S FACILITY-WIDE ACTIVATIONS
More than anything, it was crucial that the Rams establish cohesive design language throughout the facility. Especially when it comes to large-scale rebranding projects, all assets must be updated to match. And with a property as massive as the LA Rams’ Thousand Oaks facility, the installation consisted of dozens of unique graphics all sharing similar aesthetic themes.
A3 Visual carefully formatted, cut, and applied each decal throughout the complex, ensuring a seamless removal process in the event the team needs to update future graphics or designs.
Due to the scale of the project, these kinds of activations typically remain installed for quite some time. As a result, all graphics and vinyl materials are designed to last and withstand daily wear and tear, and even the occasional scrape of a helmet.
Much of our activation included graphics and decals displaying internal team messaging, which must be kept private from the public in order to protect the integrity of the Rams’ brand. Take a look at some of our favorite team-approved images below.
