JACKIE ROBINSON "BUILDING 42" INSTALLATION IN VERO BEACH
CHALLENGES
The historic Jackie Robinson Training Center revamped its look in 2021. Covered in fresh grass and refurbished buildings, we produced several graphics for the complex’s latest addition, Building 42. To complete the look, A3 Visual had to manufacture a “42” that could shine bright at any time of day.
SOLUTIONS
A massive “42” aluminum prismatic sign mirroring the jersey number worn by Jackie Robinson himself welcomed all to the new facility. From the block-style text to the 3D “halo” effect, these small details reminded fans and athletes of this baseball legend. Several of these signs stretching over 10 feet tall could be seen at night with the help of LED lights, however, it was equally important for his number to shine in the daytime as well. The reflection of aluminum in junction with the sign’s brushed texture created a harmonious balance when the sun shined over the training center. At any time of the day, the iconic “42” could be seen overlooking the new talent of athletes on the field.
RESULTS
With the return of live sports and in-person activity, A3 Visual helped the Vero Beach Community commemorate and celebrate the life of Jackie Robinson.
