A3 Visual Creates Graphics for the 36th Annual LA Marathon

A few weeks ago, thousands of runners and athletes came together for the 36th Annual Los Angeles Marathon. Thousands more guests, friends, and families made their way to the city and were stationed along the race route to support those competing this year.

With festivities spanning over three days, the Marathon is much more than just a race. This community event brings people together from all over Southern California and beyond, complete with a Health & Fitness Expo, 5K Race, and other family and kids activities.

We partnered with the LA Marathon to produce a variety of race-day graphics, including sponsorship tents, photo op backdrops, course maps, and more. Here's a closer look at our work at Dodger Stadium.


The 2021 LA Marathon was held on Sunday, November 7th, with runners competing on a new route winding from Dodger Stadium all the way to the Avenue of the Stars in Century City. Runners from all over Southern California and beyond have been preparing for months to take part in one of America’s most exciting races.

Sponsored by the McCourt Foundation, the organization is dedicated to enhancing the lives of patients and families affected by health challenges within the neurology community and beyond. The LA Marathon helps raise money and awareness for TMF's efforts and broader initiatives across Alzheimer's, MS, ALS, and Parkinson's diseases.


Our team at A3 Visual produced a number of custom graphics for the event, including sponsorship tents, fence banners, truss & backdrop graphics, wayfinding signage, and more. ASICS is one of the largest sponsors of the event, and will continue to be the primary partner for the 2022 Marathon this upcoming spring. We created a series of ASICS-sponsored tents that were installed on-site at Dodger Stadium and featured durable blackout vinyl printed with the Marathon’s deep blue branding. This smooth, opaque vinyl is perfect for outdoor events, providing shade and weatherability. Although this event only spans a single weekend, these graphics can be easily stored and repurposed for future events and activations. 

Beyond the ASICS tents, we also printed custom graphics to promote Heineken 0.0, the company’s alcohol-free beer. These covered awnings helped guests get a much-needed break from the sun, explore the course map, and get a refreshment while perusing the venue. 

Finally, we printed bright, bold backdrops for runners to snap the perfect post-race photo. These backdrops featured Heineken’s branding and new #NowYouCan hashtag to help bring additional awareness for the launch of Heineken 0.0.
